DESCRIPTION:
The Model UD-100 adapts IDE/EIDE/ATAPI devices to USB. The electronics is built into the connector housing, which contains a standard 40-pin "hard drive" connector. The converter itself is powered from the USB connection. A power supply, with a standard 4-pin disk drive power connector, is also included. Software drivers for Windows 98, 98SE, ME, XP* and 2000* are supplied. For a USB 2.0 version of this product, Click Here.
*Windows XP and 2000 automatically detects the UD-100 without installing drivers.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
You can add most any type of portable storage to your PC using the UD-100. It is compatible with IDE/EIDE/ATAPI devices, including Hard Disk Drives, CDROM drives, CD-RW drives, DVD-ROM drives and LS-120 drives. A CDROM, included, contains all necessary software drivers.
